Another Country With Ricky Ross
Friday 22 August 2008
BBC Radio Scotland, 8.05 – 10.00pm

Ricky Ross presents a brand new series for Radio Scotland, entering the landscape of Americana and Alternative Country. Playing both classic and future classics, Ricky takes a close look at the stories behind the songs and the names who have recorded them.

As one of Scotland's leading musicians, Ricky has been heavily influenced by this genre within his own work, and will talk about some of the artists and songwriters he has worked with and been inspired by. Much of the music played by Ricky will relate to his own personal experience.

He will also look at how the styles of Country and Americana differ across each individual State, exploring the traditions and heritage it shares with Scottish music.
