Scottish music legends Deacon Blue have been confirmed as the headline act for Glasgow ’s Hogmanay 2009 extravaganza in George Square . They will join Scotland ’s newest and rapidly rising breakthrough star Tommy Reilly and Bahookie, who wowed the crowds at Shindig, along with the winners of the Road to Hogmanay contest, for the city’s biggest New Year celebrations.
Renowned as one of the best live acts in the UK , Deacon Blue will entertain thousands of party-goers in the heart of Glasgow . In 1989 the band broke the world record for the fastest sell-out show.
