I would have been delighted to see more live dates as I make sure I see at least 2 or 3 each tour but I won't be going to any of these.

Nothing against Simple Minds, I'm just not into them and seeing Deacon Blue as their support would be soul destroying.

I am with Kipperman ... I would like to understand the reasoning behind DB agreeing to "support" Simple Minds ...

Am I the only person who feels like they`ve sold out on this gig? Arenas for me = no intimacy and no atmosphere. Good to see them thrust in the spotlight although I do think they are far too good in there own right to act as second fiddle to Simple Minds. Really dissapointed personally, but each to there own.
Class back on the big stage

there are tickets for the front row of Wembley on ebay for £75...and the gig is on my birthday....how amazing would it be to see DB in Wembley?!!
Of course if any of the band are reading this and remember me from my 10 gig stint in 2006..then maybe they can get me a ticket?? LOL KIdding...

It's great that DB are on the road again but surely Simple Minds should be supporting them!! How annoying to only have 1/2 an hour or so of a DB set. Wouldn't it be better if they played a full set each. I'm sure fans wouldn't mind if it started at 7.00pm and finished at 11pm!! What are the chances of DB using these gigs as a warm up their own tour?

Hope the gigs go well. Simple Minds would be one of the Scottish bands from the 80s / 90s i would have least expected Deacon Blue to team up with! Also didnt expect to see Deacon Blue back playing arenas again or releasing a live DVD / album. A year of surprises so far... what next? Peace and Jobs and Freedom in a setlist in 2008? smilies/smiley.gif
Can't wait
