New message board launched
(0 votes)
Sunday, 20 May 2007

You may have noticed over the weekend that the message board was down for maintenance. This was necessary to migrate the data to a brand new message board platform. This is the first stage in the launch process for the brand new official DB & RR website.

The good news is that the transfer is now complete and the new message board is now available.

You should be able to log in to the new message board with your existing user ID and password if you already have one. If not then just hit the ‘register’ button on the forum page.

Although the colours are different, I have tried to keep the look and feel of the new forum the same as before for ease of use.

If you notice any problems with the new forum, please email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

More details of the imminent new site will follow…

Vist the new message board

All the best,
Derek

Exclusive download from Ricky Ross

Dear All,

Firstly a big thankyou to everyone who came out to see the Deacon Blue shows in November.

On behalf of the band I would like to tell you how much we enjoyed the experience. We had a great time on the road and I know from your feedback that you seemed to enjoy what we did. You can get a chance to reprise the experience on Hogmanay in Stirling if you're nearby.

I usually try to find an Christmas exclusive track for download at this time of year. Last year the download fee went to the Scottish Association for Mental Health. We thought it would be good to support this good cause again.

This is a version of Neil Young's "On The Way Home" (originally done by the Buffalo Springfield) which I recorded in the studio where I cut What You Are.

Notable players include Jeff "Skunk" Baxter on pedal steel and Mick Slaven on guitar. All the best for Christmas and 2007.

Ricky xx
