it's hard to believe if they are doing arena dates in England that somewhere like the SECC wouldn't also be part of the tour... i await more news with interest!

It seems Deacon Blue are supporting all the dates EXCEPT Glasgow!

Maybe they were frightened Ricky & Co would get the bigger cheers! Wink

hi,
i think it was two or three months ago that the tickets went on sale. as a simple minds fan i am very happy that i will be getting to see deacon blue. i am going to manchester myself. i loved deacon blue years ago but i am guilty of having not listened to them for years. i guess i should start listening to them again. i cant wait to see the lovely lorraine.
neil,
it could be that they would feel silly being a support act in their home town. or it could be the other more likely reason in that the tour is a 30th anniversary celebration for simple minds and they may have a surprise of some sort planned for glasgow.
by the way if anyone is interested check out www.sosimpleminded.com it is a great site with a great forum.

After deacon blue, simple minds would be my second fave band.  Would have loved to see them perform on home soil at the secc, nothing quite beats going to see deacon blue in glasgow on their home turf.
