Circus Lights, When will you (live), Real Gone Kid, He looks like Spencer Tracey & not surprisingly Dignity are my top 5 in no particular order. Don't make me choose a favourite.

Least - Born in a Storm/Ragman/Raintown. Just don't do it for me so least favourite as opposed to bad songs.

Great news about Perth gig

Ricky (and Davie Scott and Mick Slaven) did a great acoustic version of Cut Lip on the This Is the Life tour back in April 2002 and the swearing was dropped from the lyrics and it was great to hear an obscure DB album track given new life in Ricky's solo show... it was one of the things that sent me back to listen with new ears to Whatever You Say, Say Nothing... hearing some the unplugged radio session versions of Only Tender Love, Hang Your Head and All Over The World also had me hooked

I love The Germans Are Out Today but have just remembered an old favourite that I haven't heard for years - Wild Mountain Thyme. Love it - may have to go and find it right now!!! A least favourite is tricky but I've never been keen on I Was Like That (Closing Time b-side)

LOVE Cut Lip! A real dirty bluesy feel to it. Such a change from what they did before. Also a lot of the b sides from that era are overlooked - I've Been Making Such a Fool, Almost Beautiful, Paint It Red etc. Great tracks.

Think fave would be one of Beth's Gate, Your Town or Everytime You Sleep.

Least fave - much of Ooh Las Vegas, with a handful of exeptions. Also struggled with much of Homesick.

I totally agree with the positive comments concerning Cut Lip, it's a great track! Great guitar work from Mr Kelling. I would also back up PJ's comments concerning the b-sides from that era, some really solid work that has gone largely over looked. I would also add Pimp Talking and Cracks You Up to that list. I remember the clip from the 'From Raintown to Your Town' documentary with Ricky drunkenly swaying and singing on his chair with Greame and Ewen playing an acoustic version of Almost Beautiful! great stuff.

As for the favourite track, that's not an easy one to decide but I have a real sentimental attachment to Bound To Love so that's what I'll go for (at least today, anyway) as for the worst or least liked I'll reluctantly plump for something from Homesick, probably Out There.

Well I blew two sets of expensive car speakers with "Circus Lights", one in  1992 the other in 1996 ... it's still the best I think. Worst or rather least fav. is probably "Christine".

Incidentally is anyone on here from the original forum alla 2001 comeback site? (Should have kept my finger on the pulse but life got crazy, missed last years gigs, gutted.)

During Ricky's 2002 solo tour he played an acoustic version of cut lip  with davie stewert which was stunning and can be heard via glasgow skyline's mp3 section

I love 'The one about lonliness' - thay opened the show at Newcastle in 2006 with it an not knowing the song I was quite disappointed. I then bouth the Singles album and it's superb - sounds really emotional, beautiful lyrics, top tune -  hope they play it at the Sage in July :-)

It's very difficult to say about the best song, but I'd say I think the best song might be Bethlehem's Gate. Homesick comes pretty close.

About the worst, one that I use to fast forward is their version of I'll never fall in love again. I also never liked Hang your head.

there are too many great songs to pick, but i have to say like klare that town to be blamed from hammersmith last year is just amazing, it gives me goosebumps espeacially the ending likewise with love and regret and jesus do your hands still feel the rain leading into bethlehems gate and walking back home, icould go on  and on,as for a poorer song , i cant really give one because i would feel to embarresed to type one ,each song has its own identity so id rather not give one Embarrassed
